Pontus
The refrigerated ship PONTOS was built in 1935 on the Bremen volcano for the African Frucht Compagnie AG. The ship was used in the banana voyage between Cameroon and Europe. In 1940 the PONTOS was taken over by the Navy, first as an auxiliary ship and from 1942 as a torpedo clearing ship for the torpedo test command.
