Heavy cruiser PRINZ EUGEN has been commissioned at 1. August 1940. The cruiser was dealing with several operations during the war and was taken over by the US Navy 1946. After 2 nuclear experiments the cruiser stays floatable. 1947 the cruiser sunk at Kwajalein, because of leaking closures.
