Steam-tug GEORGSWERDER has been built 1923 by Schiffswerft Johann Oelkers in Hamburg for the owner L?tgens & Reimers. GEORGSWERDER served for towing assistance in Hamburg harbour. 1952 the tug got a new bridge. 5 years later the tug was purchased by Neue Schlepp-Dampfreederei Louis Meyer and renamed JEAN LOUIS. After 10 years JEAN-LOUIS was modified got a new diesel engine and a modern outlook. 1992 this tug has been sold to Netherland owners.
